What are rawhide-free dog treats?

Rawhide is made from the inner layer of skin or hide of an animal, typically a cow. While rawhide chews can satisfy the need to chew, they can also cause stomach irritation and internal blockages. Our products are all made from plant based (tapioca) cores, which are totally rawhide-free for your dog.

 

Where are Rena's Recipe treats made?

Our products are made in a Japanese-managed factory in Thailand. Why is this awesome? The factory we picked has never had a recall in its 20 year history, it's inspected and graded up to twice a year by a third party, an international organization known as the BRC. BRC is one of the largest and oldest organizations and to this day sets the standard of factory quality and factory food safety in the United States, European Union, and Japan.

Rena's Recipe Treats are rawhide-free, high in Protein (made from 100% cage free chicken), and easy to digest. There are a variety of products with added nutrition & vitamins such as Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Collagen, Lycopene, and Omega 3 that you can choose from depending on your pet's needs. 

What are the feeding instructions?

Always supervise your dog or cat when feeding treats. Break into pieces for smaller dogs. Intended as supplemental feeding only. Treats should not make up more than 10% of your dog's or cat's daily diet. Give your dog plenty of drinking water when feeding treats. To maintain freshness, reseal after opening, Store in a cool, dry place.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Rena's Recipe Treats stay fresh for up to 18 months. Please make sure to always seal bag after opening and store them in a cool, dry place.

Why aren't your treats made in the US?

Being honest, US manufacturers charge waaaaay too much and our treats would be two to three times as much as they cost now. As a compromise our factory uses the same standards as the US, but at a price that won't make your and our eyes pop out of their sockets. 

Can I feed your dog treats to my cat, or your cat treats to my dog?

Our dog treats are intended for dogs only, and our cat treats are intended for cats only. Please consult your veterinarian before feeding them.
